DESCRIPTION
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Teacher, the Teacher’s Assistant assists in
the management of a group of 13-17 children ages 3 - 5 years.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Familiar with Early Childhood Education Practices and able to recognize needs of individual children.

Able to plan and implement daily activities whil incorporating individual and group level developmentally appropriate practices.

Maintains adequate supervision of children at all times.

Assists in the planning and preparation of the creative learning environment, establishment of interest centers, and preparation of needed material and supplies.

Adheres to Federal Head Start Requirements to maintain a high standard for the program, staff, and curriculum.

Helping to prepare children for School Readiness goals

Any other duties deemed necessary the CEO/ Executive Director or Senior Management and all program activities as it relates to the Mission of the Agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or;
-
Associates Degree with a minimum of 12 ECE credits.

CDA
-
Experience in teaching pre-school age children three to five years of age
