PATHWAYS to Success

​

The PATHWAYS to Success Program is an 8-week program, 2 evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM,  and Saturdays from 9 AM to Noon. The training and Development Program is focused on educating those already employed on how to land and keep a job, how to interview, proper job etiquette, and knowledge of Windows 11, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Course Goals

Students who complete this course successfully will be able to:

• Have the skills to land and keep a good job

• Use skills for successful interviewing

• Understand how to conduct themselves successfully and professionally in a work environment

• Use personal computer (PC) basics and become familiar with hardware and software

• Understand how to navigate The Microsoft Windows 11 Operating System

• Utilize basic and advanced techniques in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Learn soft and interpersonal skills

This course is a fast-paced and rigorous program.

Sponsorship

This program is being offered to the Nassau County community in New York and is paid through the generosity of the Sands Hotel and Casino. It intends to prepare, train, and educate the public for their benefit. Completing the PATHWAYS to Success program does not guarantee an interview nor a position to work for the sponsor, and employment as an outcome is not implied. Neither the EOC nor the Sands Hotel and Casino are responsible for hiring graduates of the program.
